About fashion designer

Petra Kocianová, founder of the brand, was born  in the Podkrkonoší region, in a small village surrounded by nature. She grew up in an environment where sewing was a natural part of everyday life. Her grandmother was a seamstress and introduced her to the craft that would later shape her professional path. As a child she spent hours designing and sewing clothes for her dolls.

After the birth of her first daughter, at a time when clothing options in stores were very limited, she began creating her own garments for herself and her family. At the same time she worked as a mannequin for a textile company and regularly travelled to Prague to the Ústav bytové a oděvní kultury (ÚBOK), where fashion collections for the textile industry were presented and developed.

It was there that she encountered the world of professional fashion design and met designer Zdeněk Křeček, whose work on collections for the textile company Tiba left a lasting impression on her. This experience deepened her interest in fashion and gradually led her to the decision to pursue design professionally.

In 1993 she founded her own brand. Initially working on a regional level, she gradually developed a distinctive approach based on individual design, precise craftsmanship and timeless elegance.

A decisive moment in both her life and career came after the birth of her second daughter in 2003, whom she raised on her own. This period led her to make a bold decision — to move the centre of her work to Prague.

Today Petra Kocianová works from her private couture salon in the historic heart of Prague, where she creates original made-to-order designs based on personal dialogue with each client and on a deep respect for traditional craftsmanship.
